Face every day with the glass half full
Today, I want to share with all of you a story that I received on WhatsApp. I\’m not sure who the author is, but it goes a long way in explaining gratitude and providing an example that things don\’t happen to us; they happen, and we interpret them. So without further due, let\’s see the story:
A famous writer was in his study, he took a pencil and paper and began to write:
- Last year I had surgery, and my gallbladder was removed. I had to stay in bed for a long time.
- The same year I reached the age of 60, I had to quit my favorite job. I spent 30 years of my life in that publishing house.
- The same year I experienced grief over the death of my father.
- And my son was in a car accident and was hospitalized with the cast for several days. The destruction of the car was another loss.
In the end, he wrote:
It was such a bad year!
When the writer\’s wife entered the room, she found him sad in his thoughts and was able to read what was written on the paper.
She left the room quietly and came back with another piece of paper. She placed it next to her husband\’s.
When the writer saw the paper, he found this written on it:
- Last year I finally got rid of my gallbladder after spending years with the pain.
- I turned 60 in good health and retired from my job. Now I can use my time to write in greater peace and quiet.
- The same year, my father, at the age of 95, without depending on anyone and without any critical condition, met his Creator.
- The same year, God blessed my son with a new lease of life. My car was destroyed, but my son stayed alive without any disability.
In the end, she wrote:
\”That year was an immense blessing from God!\”
They were the same facts, but with different points of view.
If we reflect that something else could have happened, we will be truly grateful to the Lord.
MESSAGE:
It is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratitude that makes us happy.
There is always something for which to be thankful.
I don\’t know how your year is going; I don\’t know how your day is going. What I do know is that there is a God who keeps us, cares for us, and makes provision every day. So let us be grateful and live happily.
Happiness does not depend on what we have but on who we can count on in our lives.
I assure you that there are more blessings than failures; the simple fact of standing today is already a blessing.
Cheer up,
With God, everything is possible!
Have a splendid family day. God bless you
That is the message. Some of my friends were uncomfortable because it mentions God, the Lord, and the Creator. Others engaged in a discussion of the name of the symbol of God. Regardless of your beliefs, I think we can all be grateful for the many things we have and keep trying for the ones we want and still didn\’t achieve. Like Mrs.Kent said and the singer Pitbull made famous: \”Any day above ground is a good day. Before you complain about anything, be thankful for your life and the things that are still going well.\”
I invite you to write a list of all the things you have been blessed with. I am sure they will outweigh the number and importance the ones are not there yet. For those, one has many tools like Life Unblocking. But let\’s concentrate on the blessings we have and be grateful for them!! I wish you a day filled with love and light!
